About the AHA

The Alberta Handgun Association was incorporated in 1977, and is dedicated to promoting the ISSF, Olympic and NRA target shooting disciplines of handgun competition. The AHA has a large volunteer base who are actively involved in organizing and supporting local, provincial, and national competitions.
Our organization provides a number of services to our members and member clubs. These services include:
	Range Officer certification courses Nationally accredited coaching certification courses Insurance for our members and member clubs Help in starting and developing junior programs in outlying areas High performance training camps for competitive shooters Help in organizing and running learn-to-shoot programs Assistance in running local and high level matches Athlete assistance for high-level athletes Scholarships for members attending post secondary education
